Parent
Advisory Committee (PAC)
The
PAC is a group of parents that do different activities
at the school. We have our meetings on the second Tuesday
of the month and they last approximately one hour, sometimes
less. The meeting schedule for the year is as follows:
March
13, 2007
April 17, 2007
Our
meetings are at 7 p.m. in the Media Center. Parents are
encouraged to attend and see what is happening in the
school.
Our
role: We are responsible for several activities
at the school including providing chaperones and coat
check people at the dances, providing refreshments
and setting up the Honors breakfast, stuffing the graduation
diplomas, and put on a luncheon for the staff at the
school. The Arthur Hill bazaar would not be possible
if not for the PAC. It is our only fundraiser and we
need volunteers to work in the concession.
Some
of our contributions: Last year we donated
money earned to several projects at the school, including
software for the AHHS web site, new security cameras,
and we also donated money to each of the classes.
Please
take the time to look over a volunteer
survey * and see if there is someplace that you
could contribute some time to help. The PAC
needs parents like you that care about their children's
educational experience to get involved. One or two
hours a year are not a lot of time but could make a
world of difference in keeping the Parent Group alive
at Arthur Hill High School.
