The Arthur Eddy K-8 Academy is unlike any school in this region. In fact, there are only 200 like it in the United States. The school is designed around a MicroSociety concept.

The Arthur Eddy Academy MicroSociety brings learning to life for students by putting them in a real, functioning mini-community. The Eddy MicroSociety will contain markets, business ventures, government agencies, and cultural organizations, all of which are created and operated by students. Classroom learning is linked to real world situations.

Students in MicroSociety schools have shown outstanding gains in achievement and have many fewer discipline problems. We are achieving the same results at the Eddy Academy.

Under the leadership of Principal Trent Mosley and MicroSociety Facilitator Amanda Kitterman-Miller, the Eddy Academy features an all-star lineup of teachers who are among the very best in their profession. They are excited about their school, and this unique learning environment.
