Longfellow Elementary prides itself on high academic standards. We strive to teach children to take responsibility for their learning and understand the need to be active, informed school citizens.
Longfellow's experienced staff creates a learning environment in which each child is accepted as an individual and is challenged to accomplish seemingly difficult tasks. As students achieve each goal, they gain confidence to reach higher. Their efforts are rewarded as their self-esteem soars.
As one walks through the school, enthusiasm for learning is evident. You are greeted at the door with an abundance of children's creations. Children are engaged in a variety of learning experiences which support state and district academic goals and objectives.
