The English Language Arts Department is devoted to
improving the reading and writing skills of our students, as well as, providing students with the literacy skills
necessary to be competitive in today's world. The class of 2010 and beyond is required to pass four years of English Language Arts classes. The ELA Department offers the following courses: English 9, English9R, Appreciation Literature, American Literature, Creative Writing, World Literature and African American Literature. Beginning in the 2009-2010 school year, British Literature will be
offered.
